Corrections Policy

How to report an error, how we review it, and how corrections are made visible in the content.

Reporting an error

If you spot an error, write to [email protected]. Review is faster when you include the link to the content, the wording you believe is wrong and, where possible, a source for the correct information.

How we review

Every report is checked against the primary source, independently of the person who produced the content. Verified material errors are corrected without delay; we do not change content on the basis of a claim we cannot verify.

How corrections are shown

  • Material correction (figure, name, date, fact): a note at the end of the content states what changed and when.
  • Minor correction (typo, formatting): not separately noted, as the meaning is unchanged.
  • Retraction: content that is wrong in substance is withdrawn and the reason is explained in its place.

Date stamps

We change the modified date only on a genuine editorial change. We never update content merely to make it look newer.

Responsibility

Responsible for the corrections process: Selim Güven (responsible editor). Our full editorial approach is in the editorial guidelines.
