Fifteen large US companies reported in the seven days to 2026-08-28, and every one of them came in above consensus on the EPS figures provided in the digest. The results spanned software, semiconductors, cybersecurity and industrial names, while the share-price reactions were more uneven.

Software and cybersecurity drew the biggest moves

Several software and cybersecurity groups delivered the strongest first-day reactions. Salesforce reported EPS of 5.9 versus consensus of 3.27, an indicative comparison well above expectations, and the shares rose 22.6% on the day. Okta posted 1.05 against 0.97 and climbed 28.6%, while CrowdStrike reported 0.31 versus 0.29 and gained 20.5%. Veeva Systems also came in above consensus at 2.35 versus 2.23, with the stock up 15.2%. Workday reported 2.75 versus 2.61 and rose 1.5%.

Semiconductors and design software also stayed above consensus

Nvidia reported EPS of 2.22 against consensus of 2.09 and the shares rose 8.7% on the day. Synopsys posted 3.91 versus 3.67 and advanced 13.4%, while Autodesk reported 3.3 versus 3.12 and gained 6.2%. Marvell Technology came in at 0.94 against 0.93, but the shares fell 1.5% despite the EPS comparison being above consensus. Ubiquiti also reported above consensus, at 4.73 versus 4.03, and the stock slipped 0.7%.

Results were broadly positive, but price reactions varied

Beyond the technology-heavy cohort, Intuit reported EPS of 4.03 versus consensus of 3.58 and was little changed, up 0.6%. Agilent posted 1.62 against 1.49 and added 1.7%, while HEICO reported 1.67 versus 1.52 and fell 2.6%. Everpure’s Class A shares dropped 8.9% after EPS of 0.7 versus 0.58. Zoom Communications reported 1.55 against 1.48 and rose 6.9%. The pattern underscores that, even with all 15 companies above consensus on the digest’s EPS metric, share-price responses remained sensitive to the broader mix of results and market expectations.

Note: a reported figure and its consensus do not always use the same measure (GAAP or adjusted), so the difference in the table is indicative. Not investment advice.
