US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds logged a sharp pullback in investor demand on Thursday, recording the largest daily withdrawal in nearly two months. The move came after a strong three-week run that had added billions of dollars to the products.
Biggest daily outflow since July
The funds posted $282.6 million in net outflows for the day, the heaviest since July 13, when withdrawals reached $424.7 million. Despite the setback, total net assets across the group remained at $97.5 billion, showing that the products still hold a large base of capital.
ARK 21Shares was the main driver of the selloff, with $164 million leaving its Bitcoin ETF. Grayscale’s Bitcoin Trust ETF followed with $36 million in withdrawals, while Fidelity’s FBTC saw $33.6 million exit. The daily pullback also trimmed part of the $3.8 billion in net inflows accumulated during the funds’ strongest three-week stretch of the year.
Wider crypto fund pressure
The three-day run of selling took weekly outflows in Bitcoin ETFs to $449 million. Even so, cumulative net inflows across the products still stood at $55.17 billion, underscoring how much money has entered the category since launch. The latest figures point to a less forgiving mood among ETF investors after a period of aggressive buying.
Pressure was not limited to Bitcoin. Spot Ether ETFs recorded $29.8 million in net outflows on Thursday, while Solana funds also slipped into negative territory with $4.8 million of withdrawals. That broader pattern suggests that risk appetite across listed crypto products weakened at the same time, rather than investors rotating within the sector.
For markets, the data is a reminder that crypto ETF flows can turn quickly even after strong inflow streaks. The outflows do not erase the year’s larger accumulation trend, but they do show that demand for digital-asset exposure through regulated funds remains highly sensitive to short-term sentiment.
