Tokenized stocks recorded a steep increase in onchain activity over the past month, with transfer volume rising sharply alongside a broad expansion in user participation. Data from RWA.xyz show that monthly transfer volume climbed 415% in 30 days to $29.5 billion, while active addresses and holders also more than doubled.

Activity broadens across holders and wallets

Monthly active addresses increased 209% to about 1.3 million, and the number of tokenized stock holders rose 167% to 2.36 million over the same period. The total value of tokenized stocks distributed onchain edged up 1.45% in 30 days to $2.54 billion, compared with $344 million a year earlier. That points to a market that is still relatively small in value terms, but is attracting far more transactional flow than before.

The monthly figures suggest a faster pace of trading rather than a simple rise in locked-up supply. In tokenized equities, transfer volume can expand quickly when more investors move positions between wallets or platforms, even if the amount of underlying value changes more slowly. The gap between the sharp jump in volume and the modest increase in distributed value highlights that distinction.

Platforms and issuers behind the market

Securitize Corp. was the largest individual tokenized stock tracked by RWA.xyz, with about $163 million in value. It was followed by Strategy PP Variable xStock at $136 million and an Ondo-tokenized version of Circle Internet Group at $109 million. On the platform side, Ondo led with $842.8 million in distributed value, ahead of Kraken’s xStocks at $609.3 million and Binance’s bStocks at $599.9 million.

The data show that tokenized equities remain concentrated among a small group of issuers and platforms, even as overall usage expands. That concentration matters because the market’s growth is being driven by a limited number of names with outsized shares of distribution and trading activity. The latest figures also indicate that August was a stronger month for this segment than the broader 30-day window.

Tokenized stock markets are part of the wider push to place traditional assets on blockchain rails, where transfers can settle onchain and be tracked in real time. For market participants, the appeal lies in greater accessibility and the ability to move assets across digital venues. The latest jump in volume suggests that demand for these products is no longer confined to a niche audience.

At the same time, the data underline how quickly onchain activity can scale when a few major products gain traction. Even after the recent surge, the total distributed value remains far below the transfer volume that changed hands over the month, showing how active the market has become relative to its size. That imbalance is likely to keep tokenized equities under close watch as a test case for blockchain-based market infrastructure.
