Fifteen large US companies are scheduled to report over the next 14 days, with a dense run of results concentrated on Aug 4 and Aug 5. The lineup spans conglomerates, healthcare, consumer, media and semiconductors, with the heaviest market value weight sitting in a handful of very large names.

Aug 3 to Aug 5: the busiest stretch

Among the earliest reports, Berkshire Hathaway is due on Aug 3, while Palantir is also scheduled for Aug 3 after the close. Aug 4 brings a broad cluster including Space Exploration Technologies Corp, Advanced Micro Devices, Caterpillar, Merck, Arista Networks, Amgen, McDonald's and Gilead Sciences. On Aug 5, Eli Lilly, Sandisk, Western Digital and Walt Disney are set to follow.

The consensus EPS figures in the digest vary widely, from -0.27 for Merck to 7,553.16 for Berkshire Hathaway, underscoring how different the market’s earnings lens is across sectors and business models. For companies where reported EPS and consensus may not be measured on the same basis, any comparison should be treated as indicative only.

Semiconductors and software in focus

The semiconductor and adjacent hardware group is prominent in this set, with AMD, Arista Networks, Applied Materials, Sandisk and Western Digital all due between Aug 4 and Aug 13. AMD’s consensus EPS stands at 1.62, Arista Networks’ at 0.89, Applied Materials’ at 3.4, Sandisk’s at 34.67 and Western Digital’s at 3.3. These reports arrive against a backdrop of heavy investor attention to technology earnings, but the digest provides no additional detail on expectations or company-specific developments.

Palantir is also on the calendar for Aug 3 after the close, with consensus EPS of 0.34. As with the rest of the roster, any outcome should be read strictly against the reported figure and the consensus number in the digest, without assuming comparable accounting treatment.

Healthcare and consumer names round out the set

Healthcare is represented by Eli Lilly, Merck, Amgen and Gilead Sciences. Eli Lilly reports on Aug 5 before the open with consensus EPS of 6.01, while Amgen is due on Aug 4 after the close with consensus EPS of 5.62. Disney, McDonald's and Caterpillar add consumer, media and industrial breadth to the schedule, with McDonald's set for Aug 4 before the open and Disney on Aug 5 before the open.

With so many large companies reporting in a short window, the next two weeks are likely to produce a dense flow of headline numbers rather than a single sector narrative. The digest does not include guidance, commentary or catalysts, so the main reference points remain timing, market value and the EPS consensus figures already on record.

Note: a reported figure and its consensus do not always use the same measure (GAAP or adjusted), so the difference in the table is indicative. Not investment advice.
